What are you ready to let go of?

As autumn deepens and the days begin to draw in, nature offers us a beautiful reminder that there is a time for everything — for growth, abundance, release and rest.
Samhain marks the turning point between autumn and winter. An ancient Celtic festival, it was traditionally a time to honour ancestors, celebrate the harvest and acknowledge the transition into the darker, quieter part of the year.
In a world that constantly asks us to do more, achieve more and keep moving forward, Samhain offers a different invitation:
Slow down. Turn inward. Let go.
On the 31st October, Amalithia is bringing this spirit of Samhain to Let’s Retreat in Angmering, in collaboration with Ruth from Zephyrose, for a three-hour experience of movement, meditation, reflection, ritual and fire.
Together, we’ll create space to pause and reconnect with ourselves, our bodies and the natural rhythms around us. We’ll reflect on what has been grown and gathered over the year, acknowledge what we’re grateful for, and gently explore what we may be ready to release.
There will be movement and meditation, stillness and reflection, connection with nature and time around the fire. We’ll create a Samhain mandala from fallen leaves and natural offerings, and mark the seasonal threshold together.
A key part of the experience will be exploring our connection with those who came before us — considering what we carry forward from our ancestors and what patterns, stories or ways of being we might choose to release with kindness and compassion.

And our wonderful guide for this experience will be Ruth. ✨
Ruth has been teaching yoga since 2020, alongside a long-standing personal practice and ongoing study in somatics, meditation and the nervous system. Her approach brings together movement, meditation and embodied awareness in a way that feels both deeply knowledgeable and incredibly grounding.
Having experienced Ruth’s teaching, it’s easy to understand why she creates such a special space. Her style is engaging yet calming, creating the kind of environment where the body can finally soften and the mind can become quiet.
That quality feels particularly fitting for Samhain.
Because this isn’t about adding another thing to your to-do list.
It’s about creating a little space.
Space to breathe.
Space to reflect.
Space to acknowledge what has been.
And space to release what no longer needs to be carried.
Perhaps there is something you’ve outgrown. A habit, expectation, story or pattern. Perhaps it’s simply the pressure to keep pushing when what you really need is permission to pause.
There’s no need to arrive with answers.
Just an openness to slow down, connect and listen.
As the seasons turn and nature begins its descent into winter, we’ll gather around the fire and honour this transition together.
Honour what has been. Release what no longer needs to be carried. Make space for what comes next.
