The Autumn Chapter

Amalithia's first full season of experiences 🍂 As we move through August, autumn is beginning to come into view. There's something lovely about this point in the year - that space between seasons, when summer is still with us but we can begin to sense a change ahead. The light will soften, the landscape will begin to shift and, gradually, the rhythm of everyday life will change with it. It feels like the perfect moment to look ahead to The Autumn Chapter.
This will be Amalithia's first full season of events - four different experiences taking place across September and October, each offering its own way to connect with the season.
Since launching Amalithia earlier this year, I've been bringing together ideas, people, places, products and experiences that sit at the heart of what I want Amalithia to be. I shared more about the story behind Amalithia and why I created it in my first blog, so this time I wanted to look ahead and share what I've been creating in partnership with some wonderful collaborators for the months to come.
Four experiences, one seasonal journey The Autumn Chapter brings together four very different experiences.
Each has its own focus, its own rhythm and its own collaborators, but together they follow a gentle seasonal journey: Set an intention.
Pause.
Create.
Release.
Its not about rushing into autumn, but allowing ourselves to gradually transition with the season - noticing what changes, making space for reflection, finding moments of creativity and, eventually, beginning to let go.
🍁 Sunday 13th September - Setting the Intention
We begin The Autumn Chapter with Among the Trees: A Journaling Workshop with my wonderful friend Emma where she will guide you through a gentle journaling and reflection experience. Taking place at the beginning of autumn, this gathering is an opportunity to consciously mark the transition from one season to the next. Together, we'll explore what this new season might mean for us, using journaling and reflection to set intentions for the months ahead. There's no pressure to arrive with a perfectly formed plan. Instead, it's about creating some quiet space to listen to yourself. In this episode of my Wellbeing Pod, Emma shares how journaling can be an incredible practice to support wellbeing. The venue we are holding this event is the beautiful Zephyr Domes Glamping, West Chiltington. Such an amazing place and the perfect setting for this workshop.

🌾Sunday 27th September - Movement The second experience is The Autumn Pause: Mini Pilates Retreat, which I will be hosting myself at the stunning Let's Retreat yurts just outside Angmering, West Sussex. By this point we will be a little further into the season, making it the perfect opportunity to step away from the usual pace of life and dedicate some time to movement, rest, and reconnection.
A retreat doesn't always mean having to travel somewhere far away. Sometimes we simply need permission to pause.
Through Pilates, movement and moments of stillness, this will be a chance to reconnect with yourself and the season.

🍂 Wednesday 14th October - Getting Creative Our third experience takes us outside and into creativity. The Creative Nature Experience is a midweek experience where I will guide you through a series of exercises inspired by a blend of art and forest therapy practices. This isn't about drawing the perfect picture, learning how to draw or produce something to put on your wall. It's about noticing.
We'll spend time outdoors at the beautiful Wild Heart Hill, Findon, West Sussex, taking in the trees and landscape around us - the colours, the shapes, textures, light and movement - and then use simple materials such as charcoal, chalk and soft pastels to capture something of what we see, feel and experience.
Rather than documenting the landscape exactly as it appears, I want to encourage you to respond to it.
Perhaps its a texture that catches your eye. A particular shape. The way the light falls through the trees. A feeling that comes up as you sit quietly in a particular place. It's about giving yourself permission to slow down, look closely and be curious about what you notice - and then seeing what happens when you put some of that experience onto paper. And perhaps the most important part won't be what you create at all, but how you feel when you leave. ✨
🌙 Saturday 31st October - Samhain: A Celebration of Release and Renewal
And finally, we’ll arrive at Samhain — a beautiful point in the wheel of the year for reflection, release and rest. Guided by Ruth, a yoga teacher focusing on somatics and stress release, we’ll create space for you to slow down, regulate, let go and honour the transition into the darker half of the year. Samhain (pronounced Sow-ain) is the ancient Celtic festival marking the turning point between autumn and winter — a time to honour our ancestors, celebrate what has been harvested, and prepare for the descent into darkness and rest.
This deeply nourishing mini-retreat, which will be held at Let's Retreat, is an opportunity to reconnect with your body, your cycles, nature and each other.
Together, we’ll honour what we’ve grown and achieved, give thanks for the abundance in our lives, and gently explore what we are ready to release. Through movement, meditation, reflection, ritual and connection around the fire, we’ll create space to let go of what no longer serves us and prepare ourselves for the quieter season ahead.
A first seasonal chapter
This is the first time I've brought together a complete season of Amalithia experiences, and that makes The Autumn Chapter feel particularly special.
Four events. Four different approaches. One season to explore.
You might join us for one. You might find yourself drawn to several.
However you choose to experience it, I hope The Autumn Chapter offers you a little more space to pause, connect, create and notice the season around you.
