Hello and welcome to Amalithia. I am so glad you are here 💚
As the launch of Amalithia draws near, I can hardly believe how quickly time has flown. Over the past months, I've been sharing glimmers and glimpses of this brand - little hints here and there - but never the full story. Today feels like the moment I can finally do that: to share what Amalithia truly is, and why it exists.
The name Amalithia comes from ancient roots that can be interpreted as "vigorous stone." I really love this image - stone is ancient, stable, and enduring, while vigor is alive, dynamic, and full of energy. Together, they speak of something I believe we all need more of: strength that is grounded, and mindful experiences that are connected, intentional, and alive.
At its heart, Amalithia is about reconnection - to nature, to our bodies, and to ourselves.
Inspired by Sussex I've always felt most at home in nature, and especially here in Sussex. Born in Hastings, growing up near Rye and now living in West Sussex, to me personally there is something quietly powerful about this landscape: the gentle roll of the South Downs, the stillness of woodland paths, the vast openness of the beaches, and the subtle rhythm of the seasons.
Over time, I've come to realise how deeply healing this connection has been. Nature doesn't rush. It doesn't demand perfection. It simply invites us to arrive as we are.
Amalithia grew from a simple wish: to help others slow down, breathe more deeply, and rediscover the grounding magic of the natural world - not as something separate from daily life, but as something we can connect with as part of daily life. This isn't about escaping reality. It's about learning how to feel more at home within it.
Gathering Kindred Spirits
While Amalithia may have started as my personal vision, it has always been rooted in community and collaboration.
Many of the retreats, workshops, and experiences that will be offered through Amalithia will be created in collaboration with other passionate Sussex-based businesses and practitioners. From movement teachers and mindfulness guides to high-quality product makers and local creatives, each experience is thoughtfully crafted in partnership with people who share a love of nature and meaningful, mindful living. Together, we will be bringing these experiences to life in beautiful venues across Sussex, as well as through thoughtfully created rituals and products for your home, inviting moments of inspiration and grounding that go beyond anything I could offer alone.
Supporting local, independent businesses and individuals is central to everything we do, and each offering will reflect the care, integrity, and creativity of the people involved. 💛

More Than Movement
Movement is an important part of Amalithia, but always in a way that feels inclusive, intuitive, and connected. This isn't about pushing harder or striving endlessly - it's about moving with intention, listening to the body, allowing space for rest, exploration, and creativity.
Through Amalithia, you can expect experiences such as:
Pilates and mindful movement
Yoga, Tai Chi, and gentle flow practices
Forest therapy and nature immersion
Sound baths and sensory experiences
Creative workshops inspired by the natural world
Each experience will be thoughtfully curated, often co-created, and always guided by shared respect for the body, the land, and the people taking part.
What's Coming
I am thrilled to share that there are already three confirmed events on the calendar, with a forth in the pipeline. Alongside these, I'll be offering intimate Pilates and movement retreats, with dates coming very soon.
All retreats and workshops will be centred around movement, creativity, exploration, and connection - to nature, to community, and to yourself. Whether it's moving under open skies, walking mindfully through woodland, experiencing forest therapy, enjoying sound baths, or exploring creativity in nature through art, journaling, and other mindful practices, each offering will be shaped by collaboration and a shared love of meaningful, grounded experiences. 🌳
Interwoven with all of these mindful experiences and movement practices will be beautifully crafted products, designed to complement and enhance your wellbeing both during and beyond the workshops. Each item will be thoughtfully created to enrich your connection to nature, movement, and mindfulness, offering a full, harmonious experience. These products will gradually be introduced over the coming months, with each one meaningful on its own, yet even more special when enjoyed alongside the experiences and other creations as they are released.
Amalithia is all about reconnection - to nature, to movement, to creativity, and to the incredible people and places that make Sussex so special. I hope this space inspires you to slow down, explore, and embrace your own journey of wellbeing. I'm so excited for what lies ahead, and I can't wait to share these experiences and creations with you as they unfold.
To your wellbeing 💚
Much love, Amalia xxx
